Thursday 27 August

Traditionnal Market in the village. Parking du Marais.

2pm: Beach Volley tournament (8-12yrs); please meet by the lake (places limited & weather permitting)

2pm: Make your own wooden dove “colombe”. With Pierre Chaix, storyteller, who’ll be on hand to show you this traditional pastime. Enrolling and workshop free at “Chalet animation”. Workshop lasts 3 hours. Suitable for 8yrs+.

3pm: commented and free Discovery of the gardens of the place(square) of the House of Gets. Rdv in front of the chalet animation.

3pm-6pm: Game time. Come and play these traditional, popular wooden games with your family or friends. Venue: Outside the tourist office.

6pm : Goat farm tour at the Sarre farm. Places limited. Book your place on 04 50 79 71 62. 5€/pers.

8.45pm: Friendly soirée for all – try the “Café de l’amitié” (home-made brandy) then enjoy the show “Le pays raconté” which features episodes from the Haute-Savoie told in stories with Pierre Chaix (venue: Maison des Gets square). Free.

 

Friday 28 August

9.30am: Holiday train excursion: history and heritage. Hop on the train as far as the Perrières cheese dairy where you can taste local cheeses. This is also your chance to plunge headlong into the village’s history! Meeting point: holiday train at the bottom of the Chavannes cable car. Adults (4€), children 5-16yrs (2€). Free with the Multipass.

2.30pm: Holiday train excursion to Mont Caly. Meeting point: holiday train at the bottom of the Chavannes cable car: Adults (6€), children 5-16yrs (4€). Free with the MultiPass.

5pm: Holiday train excursion: to the hamlets! Meeting point: holiday train at the bottom of the Chavannes cable car: Adults (2€), children from 5 -16yrs (free). Free with the MultiPass.

 

Monday 31 August

6pm: Welcome drinks. Venue: Maison des Gets square.

 

Tuesday 1 September

3pm-6pm: Game time. Come and play these traditional, popular wooden games with your family or friends. Venue: Centre village

 

Wednesday 2 September

9am: Cheese dairy tour. A guided tour explaining how local cheese is made you can taste it too! Venue: Fruitière des Perrières.

5.30pm: Element Terre: visit the Workshop of pottery (on the route de la Sarre). Places limited to 10. Book your place on 06 82 58 28 40.

7.30pm: Evening petanque competition. Teams of three can enrol from 6.30pm. 5€/pers. Games start when church bell chimes for 7.30pm. Venue: Colombière public ground.
