Rules for MTB

To help in the integration and development of mountain biking in the village, a number of rules have been put in place. Here are the main themes:

• Always respect the ‘Biker’s Code’ (available at kiosks)
• Do not ride your bike in pedestrian areas in the village
• Always follow the MTB tracks on the mountain and in the village
• Do not ride on the pavement
• Always respect the Highway Code oneway streets, Stop signs, give way etc.)

Failure to respect these rules may lead to prosecution.

Passportes du Soleil

5th event

Over 3000 mountain bikers are meeting on the weekend of 28-29 June 2008 to celebrate the start of the season in the Portes du Soleil area.

The mountain biking Pass'Portes du Soleil is an outing through the mountains between 1000 and 2250m high to explore the faboulous mountain biking area of Portes du Soleil.

Mountain biking between France and Switzerland is a concentration of shared and good-humoured sporting moments.

Leaving from seven different stations, the itinary unveils the most beautiful paths in the area. Major changes in level are dealt with effortlessly by using the ski lifts and you can enjoy the downwards slope at your own pace whilst taking advantage of the sublime landscapes !

Six supply points along the trail are the ideal place for an invigorating break and tasting regional products and specialities from each village.
