The Les Gets Tourist Office is hosting a permanent photographic exhibition dedicated to the works of photographer Louis-Ren\u00e9 Astre, in partnership with the Rouchon H\u00e9ritage endowment fund. It offers a rare insight into the intersection of fashion, the mountains and the history of the village.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Produced in the late 1960s, this vintage series was photographed in the heart of Les Gets resort at a pivotal moment in its development. Through an elegant and resolutely modern mise-en-sc\u00e8ne for its time, Louis-Ren\u00e9 Astre offers a unique perspective on the mountains and their uses. The photographs highlight iconic locations in the village and the ski area, including traditional chalets, legendary slopes and alpine panoramas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

A photographic record of great heritage value<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

Displayed in the Tourist Office lobby, these photographs allow visitors to recognise local figures and scenes from everyday life in days gone by: G\u00eatois residents dressed in period hockey gear, ski instructors in uniform, and iconic village landmarks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Both documentary and artistic, these poetic images are true heritage treasures, bearing witness to an era and an aesthetic that are now gone. The work of Louis-Ren\u00e9 Astre, renowned for his sense of framing and his keen eye, skilfully blends fashion photography and mountain atmosphere, offering a unique insight into the identity of Les Gets in the 1960s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Rouchon H\u00e9ritage \u2013 An exceptional photographic heritage<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

Created in 2022 by S\u00e9bastien Rouchon, Rouchon H\u00e9ritage is the endowment fund of the Rouchon Paris group. Its mission is to preserve and promote the photographic heritage of Jacques Rouchon and Louis-Ren\u00e9 Astre, humanist photographers specialising in fashion between 1948 and 1980.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Beyond passing on this exceptional heritage, Rouchon H\u00e9ritage also works to promote photography professions and support contemporary creation, particularly among young talents, in connection with the Seine-Saint-Denis region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
