Here is an overview of the key stages of its formation:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-core-list\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"block block-core-list-item\">\n<li><strong>Primitive Solar Nebula<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/div><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>Jupiter formed from the primitive solar nebula, a vast cloud of gas and dust surrounding the young Sun. This cloud mainly contained hydrogen and helium, with traces of other elements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-core-list\">\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"block block-core-list-item\">\n<li><strong>Core Accretion<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/div><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>Scientists believe that Jupiter began with the formation of a solid core, composed of rocks and ice. This core acted as a &#8220;seed&#8221; around which materials accumulated through gravitational accretion. This process led to the rapid growth of the planet, forming its thick gaseous atmosphere.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-core-list\">\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"block block-core-list-item\">\n<li><strong>Formation of a Satellite System<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/div><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>Alongside Jupiter&#8217;s growth, a disk of gas and dust continued to form around the planet. This disk gave rise to its many moons and rings.
