This slope was named after the year that there was no snow in 1964.

The winter of 1964 was particularly mild and catastrophic for the ski resorts.

Climatologists are worried, global warming is not only an assumption ...
At each new moon, snow was expected ... but each time, only a few inches fell.

At a time when the snowmakers were in their early stages, the Gêtois had prepared a single slope: this one!
The little snow fallen in the resort was recovered and transported on to this slope using large shovels, dump trucks or even bins ... to be able to ski and operate the ski lifts.
