As part of the Olympic and Paralympic week, which will take place from 1 to 6 February 2021, the resort has set up several activities and events for children to promote the practice and culture of sport among young people.

Programme

Sporting initiations

Several sporting initiations are planned during the Olympic week : badminton, petanque, fat bike, sledging slalom, etc. The complete programme is available on our agenda.

Dates: Monday 1st to Thursday 4th February from 10am to 12pm

Introduction to rifle shooting and running/snowshoeing course

40 children from the Notre Dame Open School will have the opportunity to learn about biathlon in the company of two ambassadors from Les Gets, Félix Cottet Puinel and Jacques Jefferies, both top-level athletes in this discipline.

Date: Monday 1 February at 1.30 pm
Location: Lake “des Ecoles”
Public concerned: the children of the Notre Dame school.

Extracurricular activities

One evening a game, one evening a story!
Every evening of the week (from 4pm to 6.30pm), we offer children the opportunity to discover the world of the Olympic Games in 3 parts: a playful or sporting confrontation, a knowledge test “les incollables”, then a moment of exchange on sport and the Olympic Games.
The children will have the opportunity to exchange with Adeline Baud, Alpine Skiing champion, on Tuesday 02 February.

Dates: from 01 to 05 February from 4pm to 6.30pm.
Public concerned: children of the extra-curricular activities.

Exhibition, giant fresco, books on the theme of sport

The library in Les Gets will live to the rhythm of the Olympic and Paralympic week and for the occasion will offer an exhibition, a giant mural and books on the theme of sport and its values.
