The ‘lutte des Reines’ cow fight is coming to Les Gets for the first time on Sunday 14 September 2025, starting at 10am in the Les Perrières car park.
Organised by the Perrières P.Events association in collaboration with the association Les Compagnons des Reines, it’s a free event that’s traditional throughout the Alpine region, honouring Hérens cows!
Program
- Fights start at 10am*.
- Musical entertainment featuring the Lou Rassignolet brass band, mechanical music and accordionist Mickaël Jeannerod
- 100% local craft market with numerous exhibitors
- Activities for children and families: pony rides, wooden games, Cani-rando…
- Traditional food and refreshments on site.
*These fights highlight the character of the animals, without violence or endangerment, in total respect for tradition.
