The Age of Freedom show Anne Roumanoff Sunday 14 March

In her new show *L’âge Libre*, Anne Roumanoff offers a humorous and biting take on the state of the contemporary world and its contradictions.

Whether she’s playing a fanatical conspiracy theorist, a Quebecker running a personal reorientation course, or a matcha café waitress; whether she’s pondering the disappearance of a sense of nuance or the true meaning of the word ‘extreme’, Anne Roumanoff slips in and out of these roles with exhilarating ease.

‘L’âge Libre’ is a show brimming with self-deprecation – sharp, lucid and irresistibly funny.

Trump, Macron, Putin, inflation – Anne Roumanoff proves herself a keen observer of modern chaos, which she dissects with relish.

Show: ‘It’s Gonna Sting’ Elie Semoun Friday 12 March

For his eighth show, Elie Semoun is taking a slight new direction: stand-up now plays a more prominent role – a first for him. But make no mistake, CACTUS remains true to his love of characters.

Amongst his gallery of new characters, you’ll meet Jean Abdul, who’ll be performing the opening act; a son who takes his father to visit a care home; Xavier, who has a physical disability and is introducing his wife to his mother; a father grappling with his son’s transition; a racist karate instructor; and a scathing take on sexual harassment and religion.

With *CACTUS*, Elie Semoun offers us a vision of our society that is both profound and light-hearted, straddling violence and inspiration, where the themes of intolerance, taboo and injustice are tackled without flinching, yet always with that incisive touch that is his hallmark.

Show: “What a time!” Paul de Saint Sernin Sunday 14 March

Paul de Saint Sernin, the ‘sniper’ on Léa Salamé’s programme “Quelle époque!” on France 2, takes to the stage.

“When I first got into stand-up, a bloke told me: ‘If you go on stage, it’s because you’ve got a void to fill, something to prove to yourself.’

Nothing could be further from the truth, ha ha! I just want to make people laugh, that’s all.

Then I started writing jokes about the time I was humiliated by a girl in front of the whole school, the time I hid in a bush for eight hours to avoid getting beaten up, but also that revelation in April 2023 and the time a therapist said I was incapable of love.

Anyway, I’ve got no void to fill, nothing to prove to myself. I just want to make people laugh, that’s all…”

Show recommended for ages 16 and over.

Show: “Laugh Until You Cry” Mathieu Madénian Monday 15 March

‘LAUGH UNTIL YOU CRY’ is the promise Mathieu Madenian makes with this fourth and latest show, in which he recounts – with his incredible sense of self-deprecation – how his life and his deepest convictions were turned upside down by the belated arrival of his first child.

Over the course of a fast-paced hour, Mathieu takes us on a
journey through the tumultuous world of a newly minted father trying to
juggle the absurdity of a world on the brink of chaos whilst learning the ropes
of fatherhood.

How can he reconcile his traditional upbringing with the new wave of modern fatherhood?

How does he explain gender concepts to his son… when he doesn’t even know his way around TikTok?

And above all, how can he avoid coming across as a clueless boomer?

With his unique talent for turning everyday life into comedy, Mathieu treats us to
a show in which he talks about his mistakes, his blunders, and the lessons he’s learnt from his little boy, who, barely out of the womb, already seems to know more about life than he does.

A hilarious and moving journey in which Mathieu delivers his most personal yet universal show to date.

Tom likes people Tom Baldetti Tuesday 16 March

VOLUME 1 – Tom loves people; he knows how to observe them and has learnt how to make them laugh.
In this stand-up routine, which is disarmingly funny, Tom dissects his family ties, his childhood fears and the unexpected strengths of a young adult. He reflects on
fatherhood, the meaning of friendship and the desperate longing to be loved.

With a masterful command of improvisation honed in comedy clubs and a constant warmth towards his audience, his powerful delivery and the authenticity of his material make this show a truly unique experience, one that will be remembered
for a long time to come.

PS: Get a ticket for your mum too – she’ll absolutely love it.

10 Years Paul Taylor Wednesday 17 March

Paul Taylor presents a show performed entirely in English.

“I’ve decided not to write a description in French, because if you don’t understand the description in English, you won’t understand the show!

In 2016, everything changed.

My Canal+ show “What The Fuck France” took off, and I began touring my first bilingual stand-up show, “Franglais”.

Since then, thanks to you legends, I’ve been lucky enough to tour three more shows around the world in over 30 countries.

To celebrate these 10 years, I’m doing 10 shows, featuring my favourite stories, observations and jokes from the last decade – 100 per cent in English.

If your English isn’t great, just have a couple of drinks beforehand; we’re all bilingual when we’re tipsy!

From her dreams to her professional and romantic struggles, interspersed with juicy anecdotes, it’s almost hard to believe that all of this really happened to her… and yet it did!

But more than just a show, it’s also a genuine moment of connection. Through interactions with the audience, bursts of laughter and good humour, Nash creates a warm atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to join the party.

A funny, touching and deeply human show – one to experience so you can leave with a smile and a good dose of positive energy.

Just for one night Jérémy Lorca Saturday 13 March at 6.00 pm – Shared stage

For a long time, Jérémy Lorca went from one fleeting fling to the next, society parties and fashion shows, and then one day he turned his head and found himself with a boyfriend, a son, a Kangoo and supplementary health insurance – everything that used to give him anxiety attacks.

In this new, limited-run show, Jérémy recounts – with his chic, unfiltered humour – how one goes from being a trendy bachelor to a settled and (almost) responsible man.

Jérémy will share the stage with two other comedians: Tania Dutel & Nash.

For the duration of this joint show, Tania Dutel, Nash and Jérémy Lorca take to the stage to deliver an irresistible mix of humour, energy and good cheer. An ideal evening to experience and share.
