Description
Les Gets church hosts concerts with the Aeolian Philharmonic Organ performing in automatic mode with a paper music roll.
Concert featuring the group Cors et Accords, barrel organs and alphorns, alternating with the Aeolian Philharmonic Organ.
The final concert of the season in the church will take place as part of the 1st Ski Festival.
On 24 March, as part of the ‘Mardis de l’Orgue’ series, a concert is scheduled featuring the Aeolian Philharmonic Organ, barrel organs and four alphorns.
The concert will be led by ‘Cors et Accords’, a group from the Vosges region headed by Gérard Mougin, a regular at events organised by the Museum of Mechanical Music.
The Aeolian Organ will welcome visitors in automatic mode (using a perforated paper roll), before being played manually.
This will be followed by pieces featuring the four alphorns, one accompanied by singing, and a trio comprising an accordion, alphorns and a barrel organ.
Finally, a grand premiere: a duet between the Aeolian Organ and the alphorns.
This unexpected cultural interlude will surprise not only festival-goers but also holidaymakers and locals, as the concert is open to all and admission is free.
See you at the church in Les Gets on Tuesday 24 March at 6pm.
