Summer trails in Les Gets Mont-Chéry, balcony overlooking Mont-Blanc

If the Chavannes side of the mountain is one of gentleness, Mont-Chéry is one of wonder. Facing the village, this slope is a favourite with locals and photographers alike, offering an absolutely unique 360° panorama.

Our panoramic routes on the slopes of Mont-Chéry

Mont-Chéry lends itself to all kinds of walking, from educational strolls to long-distance hikes. Here are the not-to-be-missed routes on this slope:

Wild and secret

  • L’Envers du Mont-Chéry (The other side of Mont-Chéry): Change your perspective by heading down the opposite side of the village. A wilder route, far from the hustle and bustle, where nature reclaims its rights.

Easier access to the summit

Why run out of breath when you can start right with the view? The Mont-Chéry cable car takes you to the heights in just a few minutes. From there, most of the itineraries (such as the Sentier des Planètes or the Crêtes) are available to you without any major initial ascent.

Advice from the local expert

For a truly memorable experience, we recommend climbing Mont-Chéry at the end of the day. The low-angled light over the Mont-Blanc massif colours the peaks in shades of orange: the perfect moment for a contemplative break before heading back down to the village.
