Ski touring in Les Gets the promise of complete disconnection

Ski touring in Les Gets promises a complete escape from it all. Here, it’s not just about the climb; you immerse yourself in the silence of a slumbering natural world, listen to the rhythmic crunch of your climbing skins on the snow, and savour the rewarding effort before the reward: a 360° panorama of the Mont Blanc massif.

Whether you’re a fan of a morning ‘workout’ or a contemplative soul in search of wide open spaces, our signposted routes offer you the freedom of mountain skiing combined with the serenity of ‘Simply Good’.

Taming the mountains advice and safety

Ski touring is a demanding sport that requires respect for the balance of the resort and the natural environment.

  • The golden rules: Ski touring is permitted exclusively between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. Outside these times, there is a real danger (cables from snow groomers, avalanches).
  • Sticking to the trail: These routes are for ascending only. For your safety, you must descend via the open downhill ski runs.
  • Learn from the pros: For your first attempts at turning, contact our ski schools or our mountain guides. They will teach you the basics of safety and how to use the equipment.

Plan your unforgettable day out

The right kit is key to an effortless ascent and a controlled descent.

  • Specialist kit: Lightweight skis, release bindings, climbing skins and safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel). Our ski hire experts will put together a bespoke ski touring pack for you.
  • Comfort: After your exertions, leave your touring boots in our heated ski lockers so you can head back to the village feeling light as a feather.
  • Après-ski: Celebrate reaching the summit in one of our restaurants, bars or tea rooms.
