Description of the route

The Crêtes de la Rosta route is perfect for those who want to get away from the DH tracks and see some country. The route starts on an ultra-roady mountainside pool to warm you up.

But beware, the ‘joker’ of the route soon arrives: the Lairon steep climb. It’s a short but very intense climb that will put your cardio and motor skills to the test before you reach the top of the Rosta chairlift. Once at the top, the reward is a smooth descent through the alpine chalets of La Mouille Ronde. It’s a cool ride back down wide, downhill paths to the resort. It’s varied, it’s beautiful, and it requires just the right amount of “body” to make you proud of your outing.

Expert advice

The team’s advice

Climbing tip: Don’t go too big on the Rosta steep climb! Ride hard and keep your torso low on the handlebars to prevent the front wheel from unloading. If you’re on a VTTAE, now’s the time to switch to ‘Trail’ or ‘Boost’ mode to take the edge off the difficulty.
The “View” tip: Don’t keep your nose to the grindstone! The ridges offer one of the best views of the area. Take advantage of the descent to Mouille Ronde to let off the brakes a little. The path is wide and allows you to pick up speed in complete safety.
