My children are aged between 3 and 5 Relaxation and autonomy

3 years… The golden age when your little ones are eager to discover the world and explore their environment in their own way. Holidays are the perfect time to introduce your child to the pleasures of cycling.

  • Relaxation objective: the baby seat

With a baby seat at the front or back, a bike trailer or a follow-on bike, there are plenty of options for organising a cycling trip with your young child. Depending on your itinerary and the length of the trip, you can opt for a more practical and economical solution (baby seat), or a more fun and comfortable one (trailer).

Looking to hire equipment during your holiday? Take a look at the resort’s bike shops.

    • Towards independence: the draisienne

There’s nothing like the draisienne for discovering balance and developing coordination and independence. This little bike without pedals is a fun and effective way of learning to ride. Once your child is confident, you can take them on a pumptrack and let them have fun on fun courses with little bends, wooden modules…

Now that your child is comfortable on 2 wheels, you can take them off the beaten track. We’re pretty good at that in Les Gets!

    On the programme:

🚵 Exploring the mountains: the Les Gets mountain biking area is full of fun and varied itineraries for exploring the trails and enjoying the beautiful panoramas. We suggest the Tour du Golf or the Loop des Clarines for beginners, and the Tour des Alpages for families who are used to cycling. 👉See the list of mountain bike trails

🚀 Thrills at the Bikepark: with 128km of trails for all levels, the Les Gets Bikepark is a firm favourite with youngsters. Try an introduction to downhill mountain biking to learn the basics. Fun and adrenalin guaranteed!

To choose the activity and itinerary best suited to your tribe, don’t hesitate to contact the resort’s mountain bike schools and instructors.

    My children are over 14

Ah, teenagers, we know them! No sooner have they arrived on holiday than they want to get away, get on with their lives and meet new friends. And the best way to do that? A mountain biking course! From beginners to advanced, our qualified instructors will help you discover the pleasures of mountain biking at the Bike Park or in the Portes du Soleil area. At the end of the week, your teenagers will be proud to show off the tricks they’ve learnt on Tiktok.

Electric mountain biking is also popular with young people. Les Gets is an ideal playground for discovering e-bikes, with five signposted routes offering almost 60km of fun!

The routes are varied, with something for everyone: green and blue trails for those looking for a quiet, contemplative ride around Mont Caly, Le Pléney or Morzine, and red trails for the more experienced riders looking for a bit of challenge on the Col de Ranfoilly or the wilderness of the Plateau de Loex.
