Route description
The Boucle des Clarines is the little sister of the Boucle des Alpages, but even more accessible. It’s a 5.7km route that winds its way along the balconies of Mont Caly.
Forget the roots and rocks, here you’ll be riding on wide, grassy paths or clean forest tracks. This is the perfect route for taking children or beginners to discover the mountains without putting them to any trouble. You’ll pass through postcard-perfect scenery: high meadows as far as the eye can see, with a bird’s-eye view over the valley. It’s short, it’s efficient, and it leaves you with enough energy to enjoy a blueberry tart in the hamlet of Mont Caly at the end of the loop!

Kids’ tip: This is the ideal playground for teaching younger riders to manage their speed on an undulating profile (small climbs, small descents). Electric assistance is not essential here, but it will make the ride even smoother for everyone.
Timing tip: Try to do this loop at the end of the day, when the light begins to gild the Mont-Blanc peaks. The atmosphere is magical and you’re sure to come across the cows that give the trail its name!
