La Roue Libre Bleue Intermediaire
The Roue Libre is one of the most complete runs on the Chavannes slope for intermediate riders. At 2.7km long, this trail links the summits and the village of Les Gets in an evolving atmosphere.
The route begins with sections in the mountain pastures, offering clear views and a pleasant cruising speed, before plunging into the forest for a more immersive experience. The route is dotted with flowing banked corners and a number of accessible jumps to liven things up. Although rated blue, there are more nervous sections that require good braking and balance, making this an excellent progression track for those who want to increase their speed and technical ease.
Prepare your bike outing with our real-time information tools: webcams, weather and piste maps.
The “Flow” tip: The Freewheel is ideal for learning to read changes in terrain. Be sure to anticipate the entrance to the forest, where grip and light conditions change. This is the perfect track for a final run before lunch: it takes you straight to the centre of the village, just a stone’s throw from the terraces. Take advantage of the jumps at the end of the run to perfect your style in front of passers-by!
